Iza Calzado is now certified Kapamilya

MANILA, Philippines - Actress Iza Calzado is now a certified Kapamilya.

On Tuesday afternoon, Calzado signed a three-year-contract with ABS-CBN.

Present during the signing were ABS-CBN executives including the network's president Charo Santos-Concio.

"Una sa lahat, I'm grateful for all the opportunity that GMA-7 has given me for almost 10 years. But, I just think that this is time for me to grow, to evolve, to learn. I think it's just a matter of timing and I've always wanted to work again with people from Channel 2. Kasi noong nag-Star Cinema ako for 'Milan' sabi ko one day I'm sure I will work with them again. I guess this is just the way it works. It's just a business and at some point we will make a certain decision and hopefully without burning bridges," Calzado said.

Soledad-Romulo Wedding

MANILA, Philippines – (Update2: 10:30 PM) – He waited 44 years, but when the right girl came along, they didn’t take long to decide on “forever.”

In simple but elegant rites at St. Benedict Church in Ayala Westgrove in Silang, Cavite, Pasig Rep. Roman Romulo and TV5 host and Valenzuela councilor Shalani Soledad tied the knot early Sunday evening.

Though simple, all details of the wedding were done so tastefully that it was billed, both because of the couple’s power status and the VIP list of sponsors and guests, as the wedding of the year.

As picture-perfect as the church set-up was the “dreamland” ambience in the reception site, at the Nuvali dockside in nearby Sta. Rosa, Laguna.

Soledad, as expected, exuded a luminous beauty in an Inno Sotto gown. She arrived at the church a little past 5 with her mother Evelyn San Ramon. An uncle, Mon Soledad, walked her down the aisle.

Romulo's parents, former Foreign Affairs Secretary Alberto Romulo and wife Lovely, looked quite excited as they arrived earlier in church.

Edward Norton is now in Manila

MANILA, Philippines – Hollywood actor Edward Norton is now in Manila.

This was confirmed by broadcast journalist Ces Drilon, who was on the same flight as Norton on her way back to the Philippines.

“Guess who just flew in to Manila! Ed Norton. We were on the same flight,” Drilon said in her official Twitter account.

“Ed Norton was wearing a Panama hat and a linen shirt, looking very tropical,” Drilon added.

Norton will play the villain in the Hollywood film “Bourne Legacy.”
